Minister of Expatriates Buthaina Shaaban and Vice President of the Executive Committee of the Council of Ministers, and Member of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Cuba Jose Ramón Fernandez Alvarez discussed the bilateral relations and means of boosting them as well as investing the Syrian community at the American Southern states in the interest of the two friendly peoples and countries.
The Minister stressed the deeply-rooted historical relations between the two countries, pointing out to the importance of investment of aware of the world's public opinion to face up the current pressures and support the peoples' legitimate rights.
Shaaban emphasized the Syrian community's role in creation of a joint mental and cultural state between the Arab and South America.
She touched upon the significance of holding an Arab-Latin American summit in Brazil for further economic and political cooperation.
For his part, Alvarez underscored the necessity of cooperation and coordination to face all difficulties, asserting the peoples' right to self determination.
He hailed the Syrian cooperation with the international community to achieve justice and stability commending the wise policy of the Syrian leadership.
