Damascus, Jan 12 (Prensa Latina) Jose Ramon Fernandez, vice president of the Council of Ministers of Cuba, noted Wednesday in Damascus results of his official visit to Syria and the Battle of Ideas carried out by the Cuban people.

Met with journalists from Syrian, Palestinian and Lebanese printing press, radio and TV stations, Fernandez also referred to the struggle of his country defending sovereignty, national independence and the release of the Five Heroes Prisoners of the Empire.

Fernandez stressed the Cuban Revolution´s achievements in health, education and sports, advances in training a political knowledge of the cause it is defending, and how the Cuban youth is a guarantee of their country´s socialist future.
